Very cool! My Carbon Copy is the only pedal I use, typically. Once in a while I'll add OCD Distortion, but MXR delay is Heaven on its own.

For the record, I've had a CC since the beginning and have never seen what the big deal was.

It, my TC Flashback, and Boss DD3 take turns on my board.

“I find that interesting because I haven't found the sound of my CC to anything I would call dark.
Certainly not unpleasantly so.”

I agree. I haven’t used the bright button much at all.

BTW.: Thanks for the link ! I will check it out

Pinetree - I have a Flashback on my pedalboard for longer delays.

Boo-teek pedals can be NOT worth the money. If you have a production model pedal that you like a lot, but think it will sound even better if you replace it with a boutique unit, it may not pan out. (I sold my Strymon El Capistan delay.)

I checked the link on pedal boards and was kind of let down that so many that posted photos this month of April that deleted the photos

Congrats on the find!

I've had a CC for a long time but needed tap delay. I bought the Wampler Faux Echo just before the Deluxe hit the market I use the CC for slapback and the Wampler for tap. It's a great setup.

The Forum recently had some issues, and the photo database had to be restored, so it may not have been intentional deletions on the part of the individual posters.

TC products are very good. I ordered a TC reverb pedal and loved it while on battery but when I plugged a 1Spot power unit in it quietly quit working immediately . I checked the polarity and voltage to insure it was correct before I used it and it was so they sent me another. Exactly the same thing, they asked if I wanted to try another and I said at this point I was weary and got my money back. To this day, not sure what happened as the 1 spot works fine on all other pedal. Yes it sounds like cause is a polarity issue but . Not sure what was happening. Frustrating as I really liked the pedal.

It's a Negative tip power supply, which is pretty much standard now.

Bubbalou,

Have you ever measured voltage out of that particular 1-spot? It might be high and those TCE pedals were sensitive to that.

Leftee, as stated previously I checked the voltage out and the polarity. About 9.5 volts and polarity - to center and + to outside. Maybe it was noise. This one stumped me. I do love the sound of TC Electronics pedals. Truly great!

Wow, that's very unlucky to have 2 in a row. Could have been from the same run maybe.

Was it the Hall of Fame Reverb? I love mine. Haven't even considered a new reverb since I got it 5 years ago. Never had a problem either.

I would have been tempted to look under the hood and see if I could source the problem and fix it.
But I'm a risk taker that way sometimes.

Mick, they were Hall of Fame reverbs. Loved them. Best reverb tone I have every heard. I was totally down about it.

I'm pretty sure I have an old Carbon Copy from the 70's or maybe 80's.

I have a CC that I use for slapback. I needed another delay with tap tempo so I bought a Wampler Faux Echo 2. Right after I bought it, they came out with the CC Deluxe. I'm happy with the Wampler but I probably would've bought the Deluxe if it was available because I really like my CC.

I don't think that they were made back that far.
A quick search of the internet seems to indicate they were introduced in 2008.

I bought a moog expression pedal for the Carbon Copy Deluxe. Only got time to play around with it just a little but I can see the usefulness of it already. Just need to hone up on a few things.

Oh and BTW: I am using the same One Spot on this and 2 other pedals on my newly built Pedal board and all is well so scratching my head on that one
