Buy some Mogami silver or gold cables and Neutrik plugs.
It's good quiet cables and the Neutrik connectors anchor the cable ends together really well!
You can get the 'quiet plugs' from Neutrik also and use them regularly. Straight for the Strat input jacks and angled for Les Paul or amp/pedal inputs. I like the quiet plugs so that I can switch guitars without noise during our shows. Mogami also makes microphone cables that are durable and quiet.
Good stuff!

I mod all my Strats with extra long Switchcraft 1/4" jacks.

That allows me to use 90 plugs and have them lay flat against the guitar.

For those interested in more details about various cables, here's...

I use George L's on my pedalboard, but I soldered them to Switchcraft plugs. I agree with the main weakness being their solderless plug system, so I just ignored that.

Hey...I didn't research and write/organize the chart; I merely found it! LOL!

Nevertheless, glad folks like it.

The cables I use for my pedalboard connections are Lava Tightrope. They're similar to the George L concept but improved I would say. Solid single conductor, completely solderless. Never had a problem with them.

For instrument cables, I use Van Damme (bought 30 metres of it a few years ago) and make my own.
It's good low capacitance cable, very flexible* and way cheaper than buying pre-made ones.

*I found the Van Damme lower in cap and more flexible than the Mogami GS-6 which many rave about.

PLanet Waves Americvna Stage cables are great bang for the buck. I also like Klotz and diMarzio. For pedal board cables I make my own from whatever is lying around (because the lengths are so short and I have buffered non-truebypass pedals that it really doesn't matter).

Pinetree: "I mod all my Strats with extra long Switchcraft 1/4" jacks."

FWIW, just a data point: The George L small right angle plugs ().155 cable?) will fit is a standard Strat jack as is.

However, they will fit, but getting them out may be a long term issue. Due to space constraints, there is a tendency to get impatient and pull on the cable to get them out. (Yes, I already know......) So they may not last long because of that.

Like I said, they *will* fit, it's just an FYI.

Never thought of trying that, I usually use the Neutrik 90 degree plugs.

Plus I enjoy soldering.

Here's how to do it.

Ditto on the Neutrik plugs!

They are well built and securely clamp the cable to the jack with a compression clip that gets crimped onto the cable while putting the end cap on.

They are a little pricey but you get quality and performance for the long term!

I use their 'Silent Plugs' on all of my guitar connections and they perform flawlessly!

Pinetree: Unless I missed it in your video and your posts, you didn't specify the part number for the Mogami cable.
