I must say I am very happy with my new purchase. This is the first time that I can say I found the HRD drive channel to actually be musical and I am now considering using it over my distortion pedal.

The other changes that I know were done to this version...
1. No more MDF ... it has a pine cabinet. Love the sound of a good speaker in a pine box!
2. Reverb is not as harsh and bright sounding.
3. Has the new Celestion A-type speaker in it. Though there was nothing really wrong with it. I had a Weber 12F150 lying at home in a box... curiosity killed the cat and I switched it out. Found this speaker to be more pronounced and more focused then the A-type. (Funny...I originally bought it for a 68 modified Deluxe and hated it but love it in my HRD).
4. cosmetically, I believe the grill color was toned down a tad....
