I probably eat 6-10 slices a week. Other times, it's Jimmy Dean turkey sausage links (way better than they should be). Just keep this from the rabbi, K?

It's tomato time, so here I go with the BLTs.

But hold the lettuce, please.

A "serving" of bacon is how much of it I stuff down my pie hole at a given time.

We stocked up on Julio's corn chips before we left TX yesterday. According to the nutritional information on the back of the bag, it contains 12 servings of chips. They are delicious. Sometimes an entire bag is a single serving.

Man, for a while there I was hooked on Cash & Carry's precooked thin sliced bacon. I bought a case once.

It was just too convenient. Went threw the case in no time. I was putting bacon on everything!

I h8 cooking it, but I love eating it.

Peegoo, "Ain't nobody gonna tell ME what's normal."

LOL, my cardiologist tells me what MY normal is! Bacon is not on the list for my normal.

This bad boy parks at my community rec center/pool on weekends. The Bacon Boss is a local Tampa Food Truck specializing in our beloved bacon! And yes, chocolate chip bacon cookies should be on everyone's bucket list.

De Ville, we use the pre-cooked Hormel for Kirkland bacon. Two slices, about 30 seconds in the microwave (depending on your oven's power, ours is low) and Bob's your uncle. Just too convenient.

Don't tell anyone, but I actually eat the low-sodium Turkey bacon type of bacon.

FOUR slices.

Gasp! I serve bacon to my kids, am I bad??

You know, a BLT calls for bacon and the troops will revolt if I improvise.

Gahhhh...I just got a fitbit and in addition to counting steps I'm counting calories. Friday I had 3 slices of the smoked swine.

240 calories
21g total fat
6g saturated fat
45mg cholesterol
750 mg sodium
15g protein

Just fyi.

Getting a Fitbit really helped me.

Learning what a "portion size" really was proved to be the real shocker.

(A can of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup is 2.5 servings, for example.)

I don't eat bacon on a regular basis but sure enjoy it when I do.

And my fitbit count looks respectable when I've had it attached to my dog's collar for the day.

We buy center cut bacon and I eat two slices every Saturday and Sunday. I haven't had too much yet, but I can see that happening.

My wife made a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin that she first browned on a skillet and then I finished in our Traeger. It had a mango chutney based glaze on it that caramelized beautifully over the bacon. Quite tasty.

I haven't had any since before my cardiac event. This thread has me craving!

Too much can be relative. My cholesterol was not high but I still plugged up partly do to my anatomy.

So the JD turkey sausage is worth a shot?

The Chef at my Golf Club makes the best BLT.

He grows the tomatoes and uses at least 1/4 pound of bacon.

Damn I need to get there for lunch

Yep, that's the way I tend to eat them...although the occasional addition of lettuce is a nice change-of-pace.
