Just happened upon this youtube vid. Another fine Telecaster slinger. This outfit reminds a lot of SpyroGyra without the horns. Love everything about this tune. The bass player and drummer are extraordinary. Enjoy!

I vaguely remember this vid from a while back perusing YT. Great stuff! I can't ever get enough of bands playing unison lines like that with syncopation. It's just the best. No faking that.

Great tune / great band. Loved the sound of that Tele with a bit of grit dialed in.

Check out Herring's Rig Rundown.

He is one of the coolest cats

that ever strapped on a guitar

Nice guy with an interesting rig. Looks like he’s getting some of that grit from a H & K Tube Factor.

Quite a lot of players use a 2nd amp strictly for effects (reverb, etc.) with no dry signal hitting the amp.

Great interview.
I hate to admit that I new nothing about JH other than hearing his name. What a cool guy!!!

I love that he's not a not a techie and very humble about it. He know what feels and sounds good to him and that's enough!

Thanks for posting.

I'd never heard of Widespread Panic until I saw one of their shows on AXS now I'm a fan.

Herring is one of those players that always has killer tone.

It's just not fair!
