Not good. Was the box damaged at all?

"Was the box damaged at all?"

Not one bit. To me the packaging around the headstock was dubious and not protected from concussion. I couldn't be more horrified if I opened the box and found a dead puppy. Return processed, don't have the heart to ask for replacement, just refund me and I'll cleanse this vision from my head.

Maybe they'll refund you and let you keep it.

That can be fixed.

I'd take a whack at it - no charge.

Yea, that's a downer for sure.

And I was wondering about the packaging.

Considering I get all my guitars shipped, they're all coming double boxed and ludicrously packed.

The *worst* packed was the recent Gibson (and that was in a very well padded gig bag in double boxes with foam padding on the top and bottom of the boxes to absorb stupid.

Leftee, their policy is return then credit the order. It really was a beautiful guitar. This makes me ill. BTW, it is an ugly break with all kinds of chips of wood and finish floating around and...no, no, I can't go on.

I returned a guitar to them once. It was easy and painless. Aside from the pain you’re already in.

It would appear someone passed on their order for this incarnation of seafoam because they have one listed on their site now. I just can't get myself to replace vs refund. The guitar spirits are whispering.

Those aren't spirits. It's your "Klinkhammer" alter-ego.

I bet you could have them replace it and you'd be fine. (-:

I won at the "damaged in shipment" game today.

Ain't that the truth. I got the R/A and UPS return label yesterday afternoon and it's already on its way.

I guess I was due since I've never had an instrument delivered damaged.

I do not recall the packaging on the previous Agile orders I've had, but 3 of 3 were received just fine until this one.

So I am curious what the consensus is about this packaging.

I bet they're shipped from SK in bulk in those boxes and not meant for individual shipping thru AbUsePS.

I've received Fenders & Squiers shipped similarly (one from the UK) with no incidents, but we all know that the angled headstock makes a huge difference in how it *should* be packed.

When I contacted Rondo about the break I sent pics. The response was pretty matter of fact "frequently happens if dropped flat". I don't know what additional precautions that could have been taken like double boxing, but it's why I've elected not to try again. Maybe someday as I've had real good luck with their instruments before, but I couldn't bear to see another beheaded guitar.
