$799 Jrs, four designer colors (I really like the blue one).

It may come home with me in the future when it's available!

Interesting! I don’t have a P-90 guitar right now.

I’d take the blue, also. Partial to blue guitars.

My resolve crumbled, as Sweetwater had one of the blues ...with a small finish blem on the back of the headstock for $710.

Ah, 48 month financing, I love you!

I'm a lefty, and honestly, every time I go shopping I thank the gentleman who told me to just learn standard. :)

I feel for you, though- but the market's tiny as I suspect many left-handed players did as I did!

The man

It looks more like a Melody Maker than a Junior with that top-routed scheme (no rear control plate) and what looks like a thinner body. But they used the right headstock and they did the body shape *correctly* this time.

The cutaways are the proper vintagey-lookin' shape, which looks way better than their recent offerings in the slab DC body shape; see link below.

A few years ago, Gibson foolishly went with a PRS-inspired rounded shape in the cutaways, which looked...wrong.

You may not agree with me on this, but DANGITALL I'm right! [stamps feet and has a hissy fit]

The wanky-lookin' slab DC they've been making for the past 10 years or so

Hmmm...maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard?

That's a switch.

I'm guessing it was an engineering decision to cut down on that pesky headstock-breaking-off problem associated with the one-piece mahogany necks they've used for years.

This may be a good thing.

I see no issue, but as you know I'm not a traditionalist for some things, and rosewood never chases me away!

That 100th DC...looks wrong to me though.

This one looked right, and I so rarely see a guitar where I love the color.

And well, day one almost a hundred bucks off...for a blem I'll never see...

Duh.

It looks like a Melody Maker had sex with a Marauder.

I actually dig it.

I'm looking forward to its arrival. Do I need another Gibson?

DO I DESERVE ANOTHER GIBSON?

I asked myself this important question, and said...yes...yes..I do.

Should make for a nice pairing with the little Marshall.

Gibsons and Marshalls!

Nothing on the planet like ‘em.

I’m wondering if a few lefties might show up at some point. They’ve been pretty good to us in recent years.

Got actual photos sent from Sweetwater - by the time I went back to save them, they'd taken the page down.

And the last I'll put up until it arrives..

This is likely going to buff out in a polish in ten minutes, and even if it doesn't...I'll take that over a hundred bucks more when it was my favorite looking of all the guitars as well
