Mixed a six piece funk band tonight.
Subs were QSC 3600 watt cardoid boxes.
Man do they have snot.
No bleed on to the stage.
Out front.....thump.
Behind.....are these things turned on?
Don't know the model number of the mid/highs (also QSC )...they are bigger than the K12-2s which are two thousand watt boxes.
Very nice mid size venue rig.
Not much EQ needed, a pleasure to use.
Here's a link to the subs.
cheers

nice boxes

Cardioid in a single box. Ain't science great?

There has really been a lot of change in live sound in the past few years.

Lighter cabs.
Powered cabs.
Class D amps.
Amazing digital wireless mixers just chock full of dynamics control and effects and all controllable from a computer, pad or even a phone. When we play clubs, our sound guy merely sits at one of the tables out in the room.

Very nice. A lot of my PA gear was damaged during Hurricane Michael so I've been looking to upgrade my system. These look interesting for sure.

I'm looking at getting a QSC CP 12 box for a stage monitor and practice PA. I've Just been using a Deluxe reverb to get by during rehearsals. K12's would be my first pick but the new CP's are less money and more portable...I'm still weighing my options.

Hi Jim
Don't know what your budget is but these subs are, in my opinion, great. They are also very manageable from a weight perspective.
Hope insurance helped you with your loss.
If I was looking for a manageable lightweight rig, I would buy them.
Interesting fact.....if you want to use more than one box per side...they must be placed 15 inches apart in order for the cardoid thing to work with more than one box per side.

cheers
Roly
