I just snagged a seemingly nice specimen on Reverb for a Benjamin.

This one is from the 90’s. Alder body and maple neck. I’ve got a set of GFS TruCoils, here, I want to load in a guitar. I’m hoping this one will do nicely.

Some of these older MIK guitars are real bargains. I’ll see if this is one.

Maybe in the spring I’ll rough up the finish and paint it red.

Thanks! I’ll know this week.

Pics looked pretty good.

This has been listed for weeks on Reverb. The price steadily dropped. It finally got down to a level where my offer wasn’t insulting. (-;

I had a Hondo LP copy in the 80's. It was a really good guitar for the $140 at that time.

I had one (a righty) from the 70s or early 80s that was flipped. It was my very first guitar.

This delivered today. Best $100 guitar I've bought for sure. It plays very nice. It's very resonant. Didn't get to plug it in yet. I'm not too bothered about how the pickups sound, any ways.

It weighs 7lbs. Very light.

The neck feels like a typical MIM neck. I can't call it scrawny/narrow. It feels fine. Especially for a $100 guitar.

I’ll still swap the pickups because that was the point of buying this one. I have a set of GFS TruCoils to go in it.

The pots are backwards. This thing has lived 20+ years that way.

It’ll get all new electronics any ways. No sense not doing that while I’m under the hood.
