Just wondering if anyone else is gonna buy something new (lefty related) in the early New Year?

I'm not... at the moment, although I do have a Martin Model America 1 (Sitka/Sycamore D-18/dreadnought style) coming sometime in the next couple months...

...I really like the Eastwood Rivolta Mondata VIII (what a name!) - Kind of Gumby meets non-reverse Firebird - with cool pickup switching. Don't know if I'll buy one - but it's on my radar.

Kinda depends what I get sold. But that's a subject for another thread...

Not lefty related (really...) but I just ordered a Princeton Reverb (a returned one) at MF (through the link here, of course) for around $650 (+ tax, of course). Will be here later next week...

Love Princeton's - I've had two before; this time I'll try to remember to just keep it forever...

LRO - is it hung up in customs?

If it's a rosewood fb, maybe the recent CITES things have slowed it down.

I haven't bought any guitars from o/s since the changes, so don't know if there has any any real effects on importing.

We're on vacation this week. When I get back on Monday, my new tele body should be painted and all of the parts there waiting for me. The build will commence.

"LRO - is it hung up in customs?"

Hey Mick, no its not the Cites is all sorted that was easy, its at the local UPS depot and i wont get it until after the new year.

They supposedly did attempt a delivery and i do mean supposedly, a week before xmas but someone was home and i will tell you no body knocked at the door.

So rearranged delivery to a work address so no excuses this time but still .

wont even go in to the saga with the customs duty and GST that i had to pay. but they weren't interested in supplying the info i needed so i could pay it that took 2 weeks

No lefty guitars, but I am on the lookout for a 1x12, or possibly a 2x12, cabinet for my Marshall DSL40C.

I'm not a lefty, but as a show of solidarity with my southpaw brethren, I'll chime in here.

Gibson Explorer.

I had one in the 80s and foolishly let it go. Gonna have to find one with a nice round neck, which won't be easy.

Happy new year to y'all!

edited to add--because I forgot: $650 for a PRRI? That is a deal!

There are some current explorers from Gibson available lefty. I could see one coming my way. It’s not high on the list, though. I have a set neck kit explorer to build. We’ll see how that works out.

Well, I "accidentally" bought a Taylor GS Mini Mahogany on Reverb yesterday... made a low offer on it, the seller countered, I countered back $25 more than my original offer, and they accepted.

I've played a few of these in shops (including lefties, which show up from time to time in the wild), and they sound impressive for their tiny size (and shorter 23 1/2" scale length).

Something "fun" to play with...

I have a Marshall 2x12 cab (the new vertical model) in inbound from Reverb. I’d been watching it and, yesterday, the seller was repeatedly dropping the price. Signal received! I tossed an offer which was accepted. It’s virtually brand new with original box.
