My first impression without watching any video is that It's not something I would want buy. Not a thumbs down, just not drawn to it at all.

I too like the look, but I wouldn’t pay 2k for it.

Isn't that just a overpriced re-imaging of the abysmal "telecoustic"??? (they also did the "stratacoustic")

I had one for a while. It was junk. Not sure they sold well either.

that was my point....is this a money grab based on an iconic guitar or did they do it right this time?

Like others have said they should post a video of what it sounds like without pedals and I would add without an amp. Could make a nice couch guitar if it has enough volume and tone. At $2k probably too pricey for a couch guitar. But it does look light and for you Les Paul players (not that this guitar is in the same class) a lighter guitar is easier on the back

Not interested in it as a couch player. But if I were a touring professional I might be on it. There is an advantage to getting an acoustic sound without feedback at high volume. I'm guessing this thing does that.

It's a high priced "niche" instrument... probably won't last long.

Most players would rather have a nice Martin D-18, another Tele, or something else for $2K, not a jack-of-all-trades/master-of-none.

Looks like something a Country pop playing touring pro might be able to work with.

I like the looks, but for $2K this thing would have to be 10 times better than the telecoustics, which were pieces of junk.

Seems like simply taking a stab at entering and competing a market that Taylor already occupies for roughly the same retail price in the 2k range.

If some big time star performs live with one there is a chance it takes off.

I'm impressed.

ONe of our band members has a little Peavey thing that looks like this but it sounds like anything but an acoustic. I hope he takes a look at this Acoustasonic Tele.

"The Fender and Fishman®-designed Acoustic Engine delivers a curated collection of acoustic and electric voices."

"Curated?" The marketing wank is strong in this one. These will probably be sold by Guitar Baristas. I'm not impressed.

well I have to give Fender some credit...it's one of the most imaginative things they've done in a long while...I'm curious how it sounds un amplified...but I guess I'm going to have to make a trip to GC to find out....

2k is a bit steep for me.... but I still want to give it a test drive

This is just a retread of what was a down-market MIM thing in the 90s.

I can't see why charging ….many times the original and making it in America is going to somehow make those turds fly.

1990s version - there was a strat too IIRC.

Here's the thing.......I love my Fender Tube amps, and my '52 Tele Reissue and Eric Johnson strat, both of which are fabulous guitars, but, let's face it...Fender isn't known or renowned for their acoustics or acoustic electrics....for a reason...

For $700 bucks more or so, in my personal opinion, I think you would be MUCH better off getting

One of These......

I'm with RainboGuy. If I want an acoustic type sound I'll go with a real acoustic. Electrically I can get close enough to those half breeds like the Acoustasonic or the Taylor offerings with a Strat or a Tele.

Plus, nobody does sunburst like Gibson Montana.
