Dang Leftee, I don’t need more GAS!

But that sure is a looker! Don’t leave any rubber on the street.
Oh yeah, that’s a monster guitar.

Very cool. And I really *should* have a Reverend guitar, don't cha think?

But not this one - I'm not into reverse headstocks (why can't I get past that little detail?).

This one reeled me in on a number of fronts. The icing on the cake was 24.75” scale length.

That is the scale length of rawk.

Wow! This thing is so great!

It is snarly Les Paul RAWK mess. Neck has some meat to it. What a great guitar.

Now the sad part. They wired the pots lefty. Yep, the tone pot does "that" thing. And I'm not sure the bass contour pot is all that effective.

I'll rewire it. It's a simple job. But I'll also drop them a note about it when I register it online.

Why can't this ever be right? Well, Gibson does it right. They're the only ones.

A pal of mine has a purple Reverend Sensei with two of those Railhammer pickups.

It's a rock and roll beast.

Those pickups hey do sound really good clean and dirty.

It's sort of an SG-lookin' thing

It is an *outstanding* pickup!

Controls are rewired. Now the tone works. And the bass contour as well. If fact, one leg of the bass contour cap was not connected to the pot.

It tweaks me a little bit because this guitar came with an initialed QC card saying all these things had been checked out. At a certain level of instrument QC doesn't happen on guitars. If it was accomplished, they would have found all this.

But it's history, now. (-:

I'm over it... and rawking.

The Sensei looks similar to my ESP Viper 295.

They are neck heavy and mine came with Seymour Duncan P100's but I have since installed some P90's.

I wanted a P90 equipped guitar but the ones I put in are a little weak and may go back to the P100'S to get some more umph out of it.
I can't remember if it is 25.5 scale or 24.75 but it feels like it has a long neck on it.

This is a phenomenal guitar! It sounds and plays so great! The controls are very usefull. Love the bass contour. It’s light too. I’d guess around 7lbs.

The pickup is the Railhammer AlNICo Grande. I was surprised to learn it ohms out at 15k. It does not sound super hot, as that reading would indicate.

I don’t mind that I had to rewire it. It took 20 minutes.

I’m glad to be in the Reverend world. Very happy with this purchase.

I haven’t plugged into a Marshall, yet. Only the Mesa so far.

I heard back from Reverend this morning. He said they hear this from about two lefty players a year and they’d rather have this conversation twice a year than what they suspect would be a whole lot more if they wired lefties righty.

I sent a lengthy and gentle/reasoned response to them and, within that, asked them to pull out a lefty and try the tone pot.

Their response to that was encouraging. They're going to dig deeper. Man, that's all we can ask!

I only made an issue about this, this time, because this is such a fine instrument. Normally I just suck it up and quietly rewire. But they missed a 10 out of 10 because of this issue. (-:

This guitar weighs in at 7 lbs. 5 oz. It has a very nice weight and balance.

I'm really loving the neck on this thing. It has a 12" radius and is just beefy enough. The fretwork is exceptional.
