...it's all good!

However, I found it a bit nerve racking being my first time.

I fitted and measured and marked everything a ridiculous number of times before applying any glue.

Then once the glue was introduced, I must have measured and remeasured and aligned everything about a hundred times.
With each 32th of a turn of the clamp... I measured... adjusted... turned the clamp... rinse & repeat!

String alignment is spot on, and now I'm just waiting for the glue to set.

I'm not saying I won't do another set neck some day, but I have a new appreciation for Leo's bolt-on assembly!

It will probably be 3 or 4 weeks before this one is done-done, but I may get a in-progress pic up before then.

Now, back to web searching to acquire parts for the next "next one"!

;^)

I don't drill for, or, install a bridge until the neck glue has dried -- don't tell anyone.

"That is exactly how to do it."

Probably, but I think my self-diagnosed OCD was kicked into hyper-drive.

"I don't drill for, or, install a bridge until the neck glue has dried..."

This body (kit) came with the bridge & stoptail holes predrilled, but I triple checked (x 100) their positions and relationship to the neck before I even started any of the prep work.

I unclamped the neck today after letting it set for nearly 48 hours.
What’s weird is while I’ve been handling it, I keep expecting the body to fall off and go crashing to the floor!

I don’t know why this is. It’s like a feeling of impending doom.
Yet I know it’s all in head...

Just wait until you string it up, I was sure it would explode under string tension. It didn’t, you’ll be fine.

I’ve still got my set neck kits to tackle - an Explorer and a LP. The Explorer will go first because I’m only staining it a solid color.

I’ve got two Teles to finish this weekend and I’m on to these.
