I'm finishing up Rev. Mikey's, now, and realized... it's always the string tree.

A set of Highwood saddles on my HSH Strat.

Oh, I misread. Usually the straplocks/buttons.

Same here: a string tree--only if it needs one.

Not all Strats/Teles do.

I'll usually put one string tree on a Strat or Tele. I've never needed or installed two.

TBH - I don't know if there have been guitars where I haven't needed the one. I've put it on any ways.

Strap buttons are next to last. String tree is always last.

Now that I think about it...

If Rock and Roll Stink qualifies as hardware, that's what goes on last :o)

There's an ancient and artifact-type feeling in installing a Tele compensated ashtray bridge.

Peegoo beat me to the punch, but phrased it better than I was going to!

Probably string tree, unless I forgot something else.

FTR, I think string trees may be a bit of a crutch for me.

I've got pretty '*OK* with my nut work, but if I hear even the slightest resonant weirdness above the nut, my first inclination is string tree. 8^(

Dunlop strap locks. Second last would be the back plate.

Probably truss rod cover (if it has one).

On all those car rebuild shows the last thing they usually put on is the front badge. Wish a guitar had that same 'finality' to it!

"Strings!"

I still put the string tree on last. That's how I line it up. (-;
