The guitar came today. It and the case are near mint.

I like this better than the 5220.

1. The neck is Beefier. There is nothing slim about it.
2. It is a freight train through a Marshall.

I got this thing for $325 delivered in a Gretsch case. One of my better deals for sure.

That's a great deal. Mine was $400 with case. It's a lot of guitar for the price. Mine gets played quite a bit.

He had it listed for $325 + $75 shipping. I tossed an offer for $250 and he took it.

It’s weird because the Gretsch website describes the neck profiles the same. But they are not the same.

And my last Gretsch is in-bound. I found a new black G5420LH on Reverb at a small shop who was willing to entertain offers. We negotiated a great price so I went ahead and bought it. Below is a link to the guitar model at Sweetwater.

I’ve generally been agin black guitars because, before the innerwebs, it was often our only choice. But this guitar wants to be black, IMO.

I paid $627 and free shipping for this one. I don’t often buy new guitars. I prefer someone else take the initial hit. But the used market is pretty slim and this ended up being my best deal.

This one is a hollow body. My first, in fact.

Nice! Is it an LP-sized body or a jazzbox? I can't tell.

Eric, I've played one of those (also black and beautiful!) in a shop in Sioux Falls several months back. I really had to hold myself back from buying it, it was really nice.

Hope you enjoy yours - congrats!

Thanks Mike!

Yeah, I’m stoked about this. I can’t see owning higher end models, but these MIKs are pretty great.

Yeah, MIK guitars are a good value; prices haven't risen like the Japanese ones, but the quality is usually excellent.
