FDP Forum / Fender Amps: 1985 - Current / FENDER BASSMAN REISSUE

United States

Fender amp circuit board says 1990 on this amp. The rectifier tube starts to short out when almost completely warmed up. I am using a dim bulb tester at all times. With new rectifier tube bulb goes full bright immediately not with the old tube. Output voltages appear to be okay on volt meter. All 500v electrolytics are good. Any one have any ideas?
Thank You

Check all connections to the socket--and look in the socket for burned contact.
