Just picked this up today, can't wait to gig it Saturday night.

My first foray into short scale territory, hoping to ease up a bit on the old back and hands in my old age.

Pics coming soon, anyone else tried one of these?

This thing is a beast!!!!

Did a pub show Saturday night and only put it down for a few songs all night (my Pbass was getting jealous).

Everyone commented on the great tone.

She's a keeper!!

That’s a really nice looking bass. Damn, I wish I never seen it.

An MIJ Mustang with Nordstrand NM4 pups was my "gateway' bass (from guitar). Sold me on the benefits of a short scale, a narrow nut & tight string spacing for my arthritic old geezer hands.

Enjoy that thang, Teledan!

I did get a little lost the first few songs :-) Didn't get much time to get used to it before it was gig time.

I put it down after a half dozen songs and finished the set with the 5'er.

Did the rest of the gig with the Mustang though.

First bass with flatwounds too, I'm liking it.

That Seymour Duncan custom pickup is a beauty, much thump!!

Doing a charity gig with the same band an hour out of town this Saturday so will have another crack :-)

For sure getting a lot more playtime than the G&L tribute 5'er I traded on it.

teledan, how much tone range do those Duncan Design pick ups give you?

Last night I got the ‘76 Mustang from my guitar player, it hasn’t seen the light of day for years. He asked me if I wanted to take it home, not to keep, but to tweak. It needed it too, he has the EMG active split coil pickups in it, nice pickups. Sounds much better with a new battery.

Whew.

I thought it was a Jean-Michel Jarre' signature bass {WHAT?). But it it's the guy from Nine Inch Nails.

Carry on :o)
