I had one of these years ago and sold it for a big profit, but I’ve regretted it since. I see a few around on eBay and Reverb in the area of $2000, I’m trying to do a bit better than that.

Condition is important, minor dings are fine but major chips, cracks, electrical issues, I’m not interested in any of those.

I’m sure it’s a shot in the dark, but in the event someone has one AND wants to sell it AND has a decent price in mind, lemme know!

I haven’t got one of these but I played one about 15 years ago and was *so* close to buying it, but went for a cherry sunburst instead. I’ve still got it :-)

I think the goldtop was about £1200, and the sunburst was about £1099 so I think $2k is a bit extortionate.

They're climbing because of special Internet hype. Great guitars and I think popular because they had slim necks in a time where that was rarer on LPs. The earlier ones fetch crazy money.

Good luck, mfitz! If I see any around here I'll let you know.

Edit: would you take a copper top if someone saw one?

Yes I love the neck on mine, in fact it’s the main reason I got it.

There are a couple on Reverb, in the price range you mentioned.
