Just got a new Dell Inspiron 3670 with W10. Nothing wrong with my old Dell running W7 but W7 will no longer be supported by next year so...

Lessons learned: (1) No manuals included, included quick setup, just little pictograph pamphlets. The pamphlet for the monitor showed both the VGA and HDMI cables plugged into the CPU tower. Black screen only on the monitor. Spent 2-3 hours with tech support trouble-shooting this - only HDMI cable needed to be plugged in. (2) 1 TB hard drive partitioned into a D-drve. 100 GB "boot" solid state drive - this is the C-drive. So I had to put all my documents and Reaper Media files on the D-drive. Remainder of the first night was spent wracking my brain why all my old files wouldn't fit on the C-drive. (3) I'm still in the process getting all my plugins working with the software keys. My last plugin I have to get working is Positive Grid's Bias Amp lite.

Fun fun fun...

If you would like to return to a more recognizable user interface / menu.... check "Classic Shell"
I have used it since Win8 It is lightweight, but really helps me be productive, rather than hunting around for crap...

I dread having to touch anything at this point. Win 7, Pro Tools 10, a ton of plugs and additional programs. I'll likely run this box to the ground and just take it off line when Win 7 is no longer supported. Good luck Mark.
