Hi mods, I think there's enough members present to contribute to a "live sound" "sticky"thread.
I think many of us here have come up with tried and true solutions to problems we all inevitably encounter.

edited because my remarks were somewhat cryptic

If you have multiple mixes downstage....try flipping the polarity of every other box.
If your mixer does not have an output polarity option....just build a couple short XLR cables with pins two and three flipped.
Stick the adapter in line from the aux out to the amp in.
Doesn't always work, but, in most cases it cleans up the low mid bleed from adjacent boxes.

Tony and Jim will likely show up with more ideas.
For now, you are stuck with me.
If you have a singing drummer who has not yet learned that beating the crap out of the brass is a liability, put a hyper cardoid mic in place for the drum vocal.

Delay your mains so that they are in sync with the back line.
Last thing one wants is multiple arrivals.

Line check for DIs.
If you use this method....it confirms that the cabling is good and that phantom power is present....(an active DI without +48 won't work).

Grab a dynamic mic and connect it to a KNOWN GOOD XLR to 1/4" TS (NOT TRS)cable. The XLR to 1/4" cable needs to be wired pin 2 hot (tip), and pins one and three connect to the shield of the 1/4" cable.
I can't count the times performers think there is a problem with the DI when, in fact, the problem is somewhere in their pedal board......if the performer skwaks...hook up the mic and cable and confirm that there is no issue with the XLR or phantom.
That way....the performer must realize that there is no issue with the deck cable.

I think it's a great idea. Maybe the thread title should have been ""live sound" "sticky"thread" and the appeal "Permission from the mods to create a sticky" in the first post content. Just saying, I don't know if Rob, et al can change the thread title to make the topic more obvious.
