I don't have an exact date yet, but it will be sometime in September.

My mate at the shop said it typically will be 7 days from when the "official" release date is that he'll have it in-store.

He spoke to two other staff there (whom I also know, and are great players) and they gave the TM Dlx very high marks. So I'm confident in my decision to make the purchase without first playing one.

Now after this public declaration, I'm even more excited!!!

FYI, in 2016 FMIC launched Fender Music Australia, and since the creation of that subsidiary, new models of Fender gear have (mostly) been available concurrently with US releases.

I've yet to see a specific date anywhere on the web, will keep an eye on things.

If anyone can direct me to a source that is specific for release date, please let me know!

(then I can count down the sleeps :^)

Nice one Mick. I hope you enjoy it, and I’m sure you’ll post a review ;-)

I can’t see me getting one unless I have a lottery win ;-

Check out the video on the linked page. Seems a pretty solid testimonial.

I swear I saw September 24, but I don't have a source. If I can find one I'll let you know.

I emailed FMA yesterday, and they said:

"The new Tone Master series amplifiers will be available with dealers from the middle of September."

I can understand being non-committal to a specific date, but at least that gives me a closer time range than I had before.

FWIW, they replied the same day I enquired, so I do appreciate that.

Well I got an update from the shop I ordered the TM Deluxe Reverb...

Looks like I won't receive it until the end of the first week of October :^(

Not what I wanted to hear but it is what it is.

The official Australian release date is 1 October, and, even though the amps will be in the warehouse mid-September, the dealers are not allowed to sell any before the official release date.

So the store will get their stock on 1 Oct and my mate will ship it out same day which puts it at my front door on the 4th. (hopefully)

If irritation occurs

discontinue use.

That is *always* how it is: they make promises, take your dollas, and then later make excuses for late delivery.

Nobody (and I mean nobody) delivers earlier than promised. And the only time you take on-time delivery is if a sales contract stipulates a penalty against the supplier for every day it's late.

The good news is these amps DO sound bloody fantastic. It will be worth the extra wait.

I agree, and it's not like *need* the amp. This is pure indulgence... ie: I just *want* one ;^)

I’m pretty well impressed with the new TM’s but not enough to swap out my Deluxe Reverb toob amp for one. I’ll be interested in Mick’s take when he’s had a chance to thrash out on it for a bit.

If I still had my original '64 DR (slaps palm to forehead) I probably wouldn't be getting a TM, but at this stage of my life, I reckon why not.
