"...Have to do grown-up stuff now..."

That's like your mom telling you on Christmas morning that you can't open any presents until the whole family is up and has had a long, leisurely breakfast. Torture.

Ok, belated update...

I finally got a couple of hours with the amp today.

I got to say, I'm very impressed.
It really does act like I remember my real-deal '64 DR in that it stays quite clean up to 4 or 5 (with normal attack) and when up around 5-7 getting a bit hairy but cleans right up with the guitar's volume control.
I know my recollection is going back over 20 years ago, but I think it's pretty accurate.

The tremolo (vibrato??? - don't get me started) sounds great. I don't hear any volume drop (real or perceived) while using it, like with some trem pedals.
The reverb also sounds great but anything past 2 is a bit too much for my liking, but 2 is just right for me, so that's good. Pretty authentic sounding (digital) verb too. Especially if you like drippy surfy stuff. (however you can't bang on the top to get that KA-LANGGGGGG sound ;^)

I have to admit I haven't got past the 5w setting in the house. Even that's freakin' loud!
I find the .2 watt setting is pretty useless. It just looses character. However the .5 watt can still get a rich "tube amp" sound (and it's pretty loud in a small room too)

I wasn't surprised that I had to adjust my OD pedal settings differently from my other amps, but I was by how *much* I had to adjust.
I found setting my OD pedal EQ's almost neutral and then just minor tweaks is what worked best. Once I dialled those in everything worked well together.

Next week I'll be able to give it a run with a rhythm section in a rehearsal room. That'll be the real test, but I'm sure it will have no problem. (it helps that the drummer is not Bam-Bam)

I'm still working a few things out, but it definitely sounds great, and I can lift it with two fingers!

Stay tuned!!!
