69 Tele, I'm anxious to hear about your Vintera Tele, I've been considering that one in Fiesta Red. I'm more curious about what you think of the wide range humbucker. I bought a 72 Tele Thinline a few years ago and hated the stock pickups. I had them rebuilt and now it's one of my all time favorites to play. Very sweet melodic tone.

I sent it back... it was impossible to intonate... the bridge was slightly off and also the saddles were not compensated properly...

I've seen others online that say theirs are fine so mine may just have been a Friday afternoon guitar I guess.

I looked like a fine guitar and the tone was good, but it just sounded really off specially on the low E

Upgraded to a performer tele with the HB in the neck which should arrive this week.

Awww that is heartbreaking.

Did you get a picture of the bridge on it?

it was a 3 saddle bridge

the saddle on the low E was weirdly compensated ahead of the A and was impossible to intonate.. when the A was spot on , the E was miles away.

I also tried reversing the saddle ... slightly better but still not right

The bridge was slightly offset as well.

I order online and internationally... so its been nearly a month now since I ordered it.

My new performer tele shipped over the weekend so should arrive soon !

Oh...sounds like they used a saddle for the D & G pair of strings there.

The Performer and Player series of Fenders are fantastic. Hopefully this time you get a peach of a guitar that tics all the boxes for you.

Thanks !

.. never had an issue with any fender guitars (or squiers for that matter) and I have a fair few...

just seems this particular one was a lemon .. will be intrested to see if other users have the same issue with the Vinteras...

The performer is still on route..

The pic of the bridge looks like either the pickguard or the bridge plate was not squared. Likely the problem with the intonation if it was the bridge plate.
