The maple /rosewood neck that was on my Warmoth Walnut Tele is now on the Burgundy Mist "Nashville" Tele.

Rationale: Burgundy Mist is a 1960's Fender color, and in the '60's, Fender was putting rosewood boards on their necks. So this guitar now looks a little more period correct -and looks GREAT!

Warmoth is amazing (learning from Leo); these necks switch back and forth pretty effortlessly; very easy to get these set up and playable.

Oh yeah!

Sorry, Eric! I keep taking your "babies" and modifying them!

Still haven't had time to rewire the Banana-caster, hoping maybe Monday...

But with all these wonderful Warmoth Tele's around, my Fender and Squier 50's Tele's are both going to be for sale soon...

That’s why they have screws!

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Love the color but, honestly, it needs a control plate.

Yeah, a control plate would look "right" but notice that the V and T controls have been moved back away from the pup switch...

...because I feel like that's the ONLY thing wrong with the Tele design (except that maybe the V control should be where the pup switch is). So this has a personal design ... maybe a different shape pg would work on this one, might try that someday.

I thought about a pg without the control plate notch. I think that would solve it.

That looks great! The modular construction of Fender's designs is amazing.

Fender person: "Maple or rosewood? Hmm."

Gibson person: "Whut?"

The issue with putting a control plate on this body is that you’d have to rout out some wood to mount the switch directly to the plate. And I’m not sure there is any wood under the front screw hole in the plate. It might be control cavity.
