What is a good volume pedal for bass or guitar?

I always liked the Ernie Ball pedal. Dunlop and Boss also make very nice and well built pedals. There are a lot of them out there. Mostly it depends on construction and price point. I've always preferred metal construction. These things have to take a lot of abuse.

I've been using a EB VP Jr. for about 15 years, now. Great pedal.

I like the looks of the discontinued Fender big chrome pedal. The newer ones operate like the EB with a string on the pot. Mine is about 6-7 years old and works great. Heavy beast though.
