At 73 I can't wait for the new ski season to start at Lake Tahoe!

I met one of the founders of Vail, CO about 30 years ago in Vail. He was 92 and still skiing on every good day. He is my hero!

Later I was told his wife made him quit when he hit 94 and he died at 97.

When I play golf I always walk to keep my legs in shape for skiing. While I love golf, skiing has always been my favorite sport.

BTW, if you are a retired veteran with at least 20yrs of military service in your quiver, Vail offers an unlimited Season Epic Ski Pass good at any area owned and operated by Vail Corp for just $49.00. You read that right!

SO... Am I the "Geezer Skier" of the FDP?

You’ve got me by 11 years 6. I still downhill but last year it was just X country at a local club. Congrats on the healthy lifestyle. It definitely keeps a person young and helps us up here get through the long Winter.

I'm 64, and still doin' it. I have a season pass to Monarch Mountain, which gives me privileges at several other places. When my kids, who are both excellent skiers, come out, we go to Copper Mountain.

stratcowboy, who hangs out in the FDP Unplugged room, skis frequently, and he's a couple years older than me, I think. He's down NM-way.

In Colorado, after age 69, you ski free anywhere in the state, I believe.

I haven’t skied since my 30s. Not my choice. I just ended up living in places where it wasn’t an option.

You're definitely older than me by quite a bit (I'm 56), but I am skiing on an artificial hip....so I've got that going for me...which is nice.

I'm turning 73 next month and sharing your passion for skiing. Deer Valley is my home resort when winter comes. I've been lucky to ske major resorts in Austria, Switzerland and Italy as well as the best of the US and Canada. Still looking for that illusive perfect ski run. My license plate frame reads

I'll Ski There Too

70 and still surfing (kind of like skiing on unfrozen mountains that constantly move and change shape)...but have only cross-country skied in the past.

Our local ski area used to give free passes to anyone over seventy but there are so many of us that now we have to pay $135. Still a pretty good deal.

I'm only 67 but my brother lives in Colorado so I go 2-3 days every year. First morning is spent working off the rust, but after that it's still fun, fun, fun. I'm actually skiing better now than I ever have. Turns out a lifetime of muscle memory is a wonderful thing!
