Hi folks
I need a wee plate that will cover an octal socket and mount to the existing chassis holes.
In a perfect world, the plate would have a pre punched hole for a nine pin socket and pre punched holes to mount the nine pin socket.
I realize that I would need to state the hole spacing of the octal socket cover, and the hole diameter of the nine pin socket and the hole spacing of the nine pin socket mounting screws.
Anyone here know what the formal term is for what I have described?
I can easily build one but my tools are crude and although functional, cosmetically it wouldn't be that nice.
cheers
Roly

I’m nobody’s man. I’m not even my own man.

But I *am* a shining negative example!

Roly, note that the mounting holes on that adaptor plate are ovals; that allows the necessary wiggle room to accommodate various screw spacings.

I used the on a recent project. Easy to install and a great fit for the smaller socket.
