The low E on my 1960 time machine is hanging a little too close to the edge of the fretboard, enough that it makes for a little unplaisant playing experience, if I'm not careful.

The problem doesn't seem to be in the saddles, what would you guys consider, nut or neck alignment?

What can I do about it?

thanks

Undo the four neck screws a little, and then gently nudge or push the neck sideways towards the treble side. When the strings are aligned, tighten the screws up again.
It will help to detune the guitar a little while you do this, as it will lessen the tension on the neck and screws.
