Am thinking of pairing one of these with my EA CXL-112L as a neat, very portable rehearsal/small gig pairing. The EA is 350w at 8 ohm and the Ampeg apparently puts out 300W at 8 ohm so should sit nicely. Anyone got any experience of the Ampeg, thanks.

I tried a 300 watter and was quite impressed with the sound. Would imagine the 500 sounds about the same. I've also got the CxL-112's so I'm interested in what folks have got to say about it too.

I have the PF-500 and have gigged with it a few times now, through the matching Portaflex 210 cab as well as a Mesa PH212 cab. Very impressed. You get the "Ampeg" sound but it has enough EQ flexibility to do other things as well. Unlike some amps, it still has quite a lot left after the master volume passes 2 o'clock. <br /> Dan
