Hi,

Currently I'm using Ernie Ball's "Skinny top heavy bottom" 10-52 strings on my E-tuned Strats. I use also "Beefy Slinkys" 11-54 on my E-flat tuned Strats.

I'm just wondering if anyone is using same kind of sets on Strats? I'm playing mainly blues and rock. The best set would be "Power Slinkys" if the low E would be fatter.

I use either D'Addario or Fender Pure Nickel .10s.

Lately I've been using a wound G and I'm still not sure if I like it or not.

DR Prue Blues 10's on everything. DR came out not too long ago with the Dragon Skin, for both Electric and Acoustic. I've used both. IMO, I think the best coated strings I've ever played. And I used to be an Elixar guy!

I've been using Ernie Ball Super Slinky (9-42) for many years but I recently changed to the Ernie Ball Coated Super Slinkys (9-42). They last WAAAAY longer than normal slinkys, with a touch of extra 'texture' to the tone. Great strings.

Ernie Ball Regular Slinky (10-46) for me on my Strat's and Tele's - "Classic" (i.e. pure nickel) when I can get them.

I use Power Slinky's (11-48) on my Jazzmaster.

Ernie Ball Regular 10s on everything. Makes buying in bulk easier. Great on a strat - but possibly a little light on a LP or Gretsch type guitar.

My strings go to 11.

I likes the D'addarrios. Never find a bad one in the bunch.

Elixer .011's, standard tuning...I hate tuning down. Even a half step makes the strings too slinky/loose for me.

D'Addario EXL115s on Fender scale, and I forget the number but 12s on Gibson scale. The exception is the baricaster which is a 25.5 inch scale tuned to B, which sports DR DDTs, the heaviest set. Feels pretty good at B, a bit loose at A.

I use 10-38s on my strat -- the Hendrix gauge. The lighter low E helps out a lot with the typical problems you can get with strats on that string. I use 10-46 on everything else.
