Would you ship to Canada? I might not need the Weber, I have an original Jensen c12n that would be good in it. Let me know.

I am always interested in other peoples settings. These are very versatile amps, and I like to experiment sometimes. It's cool to find new settings.

I usually leave the master up all the way, and adjust volume with the other volume knob. My eq knobs are all somewhere in the middle, treble and mid boosts are on. I like a touch of 'verb, I use to leave the presence kind of low, around 3, but now I found I like it a bit higher up, especially for solos.

I have still not been able to crank this sucka for any length of time. I think I had it up for a few minutes once, when all the neighbors happened to be out at the same time. I really want to hear the power tubes breaking up.

I have been using the lead boost recently, just for a different flavor, Its actually not bad at all. In this mode, I wish it had an FX loop for my delay. It gets mushy.

I am trying to find something similar to a Deluxe setting, where I can have some dirt, and roll back the guitar volume for some cleans. I have not found the sweet spot yet.

Anyone found a setting like this?

What setting do you use?

Generally and from recollection, I usually set my PRII something like this; V=5, T=5, M=5, B=7, R=0-3.5, MV=7, P=4

I took mine in yesterday to get serviced. Whole lotta fartin' goin' on. Very ugly sounding and I'm thinking it's not tubes. My guess is some kind of post recap failure.

My settings are usually like this:

Volume at about 3-4 unless I'm gigging and it's crazy loud.
Treble at 8
Middle at 4
Bass at 6
Reverb no more than 3 (tank is side mounted)
Lead Volume at 0
Master Volume is always at 10
Presence at 6-7

Well I almost lost faith in my PRII but decided to have local amp guru Dean Zink have a shot at it. One new set of Tung Sol RI's later, plus a 100 ohm 5w hum balance pot this thing sounds sweeter than ever. Excellent!

Ok, I just received 2 sets of tilt back-legs. No matter where I search there really are no instructions on exactly where to mount these babies. Does anyone have any succesful experiences to share on this?

Yes, Andrew-I was bracing myself for something more costly. The Tung Sol RI's really sound good.

Iversen, I installed mine using the linked thread below for a DRRI.

Thanks for helping out Littleuch, that was just what I needed. I'll be sure to post a few pics once they're mounted.

Christian - yes please - add a couple of figures in mm for where to drill the holes and I'll add it to the website.

But I still like the foam donut.

Woohoo! I've only just installed a set of tilt-back legs on the first of my PRIIs, shot some pictures and figured I'd better get back with some measurements before I forget them.

Both my amps have the reverb tank mounted on the side, so these numbers should keep you from drilling into that.

First hole is for the pivot screw. I measured 13,5 cm from the top of the cabinet and 6,0 cm from the back of the cabinet. I used a 5,0 mm drill. On the outside the pivot screw goes through the leg, through a washer, into the whole you just drilled and on the inside you put another washer, a stop washer and the stop nut. I used a an adjustable spanner and a Philips #2 screwdriver for the tightening. Don't be a dork like I was for the first 20 seconds of tightening; use the spanner to fixate the nut and tighten using the screwdriver, not the other way around, duh! ><

For the stop I measured 11 cm from the top and 11 cm from the back for a nice square feeling I guess. The screw for the leg stop won't go through the wood, but pretty close. I used a 3.3 mm drill for this whole. Drill about half way through the side of the cabinet and as you tighten the screw you'll hear the wood crunch a little, mmmmmh :)

Repeat, tilt back, plug in, play, all is well.

Edit: I ended up having my son shoot a video of me installing the legs the second time around.

Christian, thanks for the details. I failed to post my effort for several reasons, one being a lack of confidence that I did a good job.

My measurements are all within a 1cm or so of yours, and it's functional so I guess I did ok. My reverb tank is now bottom mounted so I had no issues getting wreckless.

I took my amps to rehearsal yesterday; I should have installed those tilt-back legs years ago - schweet schtuff! It really makes you wonder why the heck Fender didn't install these on all their amps in the first place?

Now about the reverb tank. Both of mine are side mounted and they both begin to sound way too 'springy' when turned to anything above 3. I remember reading on either this thread or Stratopastor's site, that you can (greatly?) improve the usable range of the reverb by mounting it on the bottom of the amp. What's the deal on this - did anyone actually do this and what was the outcome?

I never thought about what would happen when the tank (which is specified for mounting in the floor of the cab) is mounted on the side and then leaned back at an angle....

Just stand the amp on its side so the reverb's nearest the floor. Maybe wait a short time for the springs to settle, then play and listen.

Reminds me that some witty guy once asked me "do I have to lay on my side while I'm listening?"...

Just added Christian's write-up to the PRII page, with many thanks.

Christian, please let me know if there's anything you'd like me to change there.

Andrew, as long as it's making sense, I'm very pleased if it will help anyone about to make what I consider to be a considerable improvement to any amp. And thank you for the kind words about my playing - that's a 5 year old video, it's about time I upload something more recent.

Oh yeah, upload a new one. I'll link to that too.

By the way, I'm _really_ impressed with your English. I spent 2 weeks in Denmark a looooong time ago and picked up no Danish at all....

Spectacular amp display. The guitar on the other hand...

I could see pogo'ing on it in the backyard when the mole activity is high :-p
