Here's a more produced track. All guitar sounds are my Lipe Twisted Soldato thru the Tourmaster. Not bad. It sounds pretty much like it does in person, although I'm starting to think I lose a little bit of the sweetness going thru my old MOTU interface. Need a better pre-amp and A/D conversion.

Anyway....

Edited to add: this one is using the clean channel.

Also, here's a track showing off the Tourmaster's highest gain channel, for rhythm guitar.

Has anyone here tried the two pedals that Egnater is selling? I've heard ton's of compliments on the amps but not a peep on the pedals. The link takes you to the pedals on the egnater site.

LesK-Looking forward to hearing those pedals.

I've now had a Tweaker 40 since the last FDP Jam. I've used it for rehearsals and have been able to dial in some really nice tones, clean and distorted. I use a Sparkle Drive to the input and a DD 5 in the effects loop. Also, nice that it has a pedal to switch beween the clean and dirty channel and the effects off/on.

I didn't know if this amp was going to be a keeper but, it has some very usable tones at low/high volumes. That's what I like the best though, the tones being consistent at different volumes.

Still want to play the Tweaker 88

Bump. Everyone still loving theirs?
My R30 head sat in the closet for months as I was getting into my Mesa TA15, but now she's back - really digging the R30 with my 335 and 355 Epi's. I use a mini stack with two Egnater 112s. The clean channel is almost too clean for single coils but darn near perfect for hollows and semi hollows. The R30 also has reverb. Mmmmm goodness.

CheapShoes-Yeah, haven't used my R20 in awhile but, have been playing my Tweaker 40 a good bit.
Think the R20 might need some new tubes.

My (new) Gretsch 5120 sounds excellent and I love the tones I get with the Strat into the Tweaker.

Still loving the Tourmaster. With 4 channels, I have a lot of choices and hardly need pedals at all. Every guitar sounds good thru it. Heavy as hell, though, and one of the channels has recently starting to do a nasty breakup when cold. I'm going to try to re-seat the tubes, hoping that something came loose in transport. Each channel has all its own controls, so I developed a chart to keep track of my settings if they get bumped in transit. Works!

My Rebel-30 gets less use. I agree w/ CheapShoes that the clean channel is too clean. Hard to get any decent break-up. But very good if you're using purely pedals for all your effects. The overdrive channel is kind of a one-trick pony. But it's a good trick. A nice saturated OD. So, I'm going to hang on to it. It's light and easy to carry (I have the head), and plenty of power!

Speaking of power, the power control (1w to 30w) hardly does anything to either channel. I mean, there's a little difference, but I'd rather it attenuated the power a lot more. Kind of a waste, IMO.

I do like the sound produced tube blend control, but always keep it in one spot, almost in the center. Also seems like a control that really wasn't necessary.

Overall, generally positive feelings toward mine, and plan on keeping them both!

Outdoors one notices the watt dial prominently, but indoors not much even if you try. I remember when I first got it, we played at a local Relay for the Cure at the track, and I kept turning up the volume on one song to step out and it just got looser, musher, nastier, but not louder. I thought something was really wrong with my new amp. Then 3/4ths the way through I suddenly recalled I had the wattage on 1W instead of 20-30. Changed the wattage for the next song and Voila! It does make a significant difference, but if you are typically using 1/2 a watt of power indoors, changing from 3-30W is not going to be noticable because you aren't really even pushing 1W. Turns out 1-2W through four tubes and 2x12 is pretty clean and loud.
Hey, Budda bump.
I now have two Egnaters and no Fender amps. I guess it just happened. My brand new Tweaker 15 is great. No desire yet to swap tubes - but it will take 6L6 or EL34s instead of the 6V6s. I really like the Vintage mode, though have little idea what is going on inside the amp via all the different modes other than capacitor voicings. The owner's manual is reminiscent of a Fender manual - i.e. doesn't say jack besides shut up and play...
One thing well done on the Egnaters is the gain control is set nicely in the middle - that is 6-11 O'clock is shades of clean, 11-2 is hair on the dog, 2+ is distortion. Of course this too sounds different depending on amp mode one is in (Fender vs. Vox vs. Marshall).

Zzup with you? I do notice Egnaters do not appear to be quick selling amps at GC though they are good sounding and solidly built.
"I do like the sound produced tube blend control, but always keep it in one spot, almost in the center. Also seems like a control that really wasn't necessary."

The manual alludes to this... saying something like "Hey, you guys asked for this."

The blend control did give the community much needed empirical data that if one keeps the circuitry the same, differences in power bottles isn't massive. You can tell the difference, but fairly subtle, and not nearly the difference expected between a Vox and a Mesa. I have yet to swap some EL34s in place of the 6V6s, but I will check it out one day, and see if the trend holds for small vs large bottles.

Yeah, I've got some "Winged C" EL34 and 6L6 lying around.... probably would be interesting to swap them out.

I'm actually quite happy with the sound as it stands, though it oes make some noise at idle.
