The still-life drawing lesson I gave the High Schoolers was their first experience with drawing from direct observation. These were actual objects on a table. They had to learn linear perspective drawing to do this, and I found that to be the hardest thing for them to grasp. It will come, in time. As nice as this drawing is, the perspective is off.
