This is a Gretsch Synchromatic, a relic from the company's first (and quickly abandoned) effort build inexpensive electric guitars in Korea in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
This is a cheap, cheap guitar (bascially hollow inside) and it is a total blast to play. It has a fast, flat neck that reminds of the Reverend Roundhouse The original pickups (seen here) weren't much to talk about. But I upgraded with a local winder's take on the Filtertron design. Now this guitar sounds as good as it looks.
