FDP Cookbook : Desserts : Hot Fudge Cake
(submitted by shoebox22 )

Ingredients

1 cup flour (all purpose)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
6 Tbl Hersheys cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 Tbl vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 3/4 cup hot water

Directions

This is a VERY easy one dish recipe that looks funny going into the oven but is fabulous to serve.

Preheat oven to 350 F.

In 9 inch square pyrex baking pan, combine flour, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.

Sprinkle the remaining 4 tablespoons of cocoa over the batter, then sprinkle over that the entire cup of brown sugar. Pour hot water over all. DO NOT STIR!

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. The cake will form its own hot fudge on the bottom.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. The kids love it, both to make and eat!
