FDP Cookbook : Desserts : Brownies

Ingredients

Stir together
3/4 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar

Stir in 1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
3 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Beat until smooth and stir in 1/2 cup chopped nuts if you want. Grease 8 inch square pan and place batter in it. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.
Makes 24 squares. You can ice them if you like or they are fine just as they are.
