FDP Cookbook : Entrees : Baconized Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

3# fresh Brussels Sprouts, washed, cleaned and halved (split)
1# thick cut bacon
2 onions, halved and sliced


Directions

If you do this right, you'll only need one pan (a deep Dutch Oven works well).

Drop sprouts into boiling salted water, cook for approximately 10 minutes until tender. Drain.

Cut bacon into 1" pieces and fry to taste. Remove from pan, reserve grease.

Fry onions in bacon grease. Remove from pan, reserve grease.

Pan fry well drained sprouts in bacon grease until lightly browned, stirring frequently but gently (don't turn the sprouts to mush). Stir in bacon and onions, heat until warmed. Salt and pepper to taste.
