Directions
Ingredients vary depending on number you are going to serve. We (family of 4) make a lot and eat for a couple of days.
Start a large pot of rice.
1. Fry Bacon (2 lbs) crispy - remove & let drain on paper towels
2. Chop celery & onion (quantity depends on your likes) - sautee in pan that you fried the bacon.
3. As the celery & onion begins to look clear add shrimp to same pan.
4. Cook until shrimp are done (pink).
5. Dip sauteed celery, onion & shrimp into large pot of rice.
6. Stir in while shaking in the Crystal hot sauce. I suggest enough Crystal to make it rather mild. You can always add more Crystal when you get it in your bowl.
For you cooks, give it a try. The quantity of ingredients are what your taste preference is. We like a lot of celery & a lot of shrimp. Any type shrimp will work. The Crystal depends on your taste buds. My kids like it mild, that how I usually get it in the pot. I like it pretty spicy and add Crystal when its in my bowl. My wife likes to where it burns my eyes when sitting across the table. ENJOY |
